If you are feeling unsure about whether you should be rejecting that seemingly perfect yet slightly doubtful opportunity knocking at your door, then take a page out of actress Eva Longoria’s book because she is a pro when it comes to saying no to things.
It seems like the actress is always getting involved with many projects in various industries including food and fashion as well as philanthropy. But she knows the value of her time and does not waste any of it on projects she believes have no real future.

According to the actress, being business-minded had always been a personality trait embedded deep within her, a side of her which she had not able to utilize as an actress until she finally started her own production company called Unbelievable Entertainment back in the mid-2000s.
The actress did not simply want to act out someone else’s vision, she wanted to materialize her own, and she was finally able to do it with her new company.
A Fulfilling Venture
The abovementioned production house was very fulfilling for the actress as she felt like all of her potential was being fully utilized. She was also reportedly made to realize by a friend of hers, Shaun Cassidy that, because of her production house, around 300 people had become employed, which was another very satisfying outcome of her shift from being just an actress to also being a businesswoman.

In addition to the benefits mentioned above of having her own production house, Longoria has also stated that the experience has also improved her acting skills, simply because she has now worked extensively behind the camera as well and hence developed a deeper understanding of what is expected of her as an actress.
An Authentic Collection
Usually, the first business that celebrities start is either their own clothing line or a makeup collection, but Longoria first developed her own production house. It wasn’t until the year 2017 that the actress/businesswoman finally launched her own clothing collection called Eva Longoria Collection.
According to the actress, the reason why she has taken such a long time to come up with a collection under her own name is that she wanted the clothes to reflect her own creativity rather than some mainstream style with her name stamped on it.

Longoria has even mentioned that people had advised her overtime to simply start a generic clothing line with her brand name, but she didn’t do it due to time constraints.
The actress wanted her clothes to be a genuine reflection of her own personal sense of style, and hence she wanted to do it only when she had the time to develop an entire collection from scratch, including selecting her own textures, cloth, and sewing techniques.
Many people don’t know this but Longoria does have extensive experience in sewing clothes, so a clothing brand was a natural choice for her when starting up her own business.
And apparently, it took her almost five years to develop this clothing line from scratch, which is symbolic of the sheer dedication and commitment she puts into every one of her business ventures. A true entrepreneur, indeed!
