It’s no secret that staying fit becomes much harder once a woman enters her middle-age years. With the body’s metabolism slowing down a bit, it would take extra work to maintain or achieve one’s dream body. That doesn’t mean it’s impossible though.
And co-stars Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon just shared their own personal tricks and tips as they promote their upcoming new show on Apple’s new streaming service.
Jen’s Secret

In a joint interview with Radio Times Aniston and Witherspoon recently did, both stars opened up about each of their specific routines.
The former ‘Friends’ star revealed that she’s been pairing intermittent fasting with a strict workout schedule to keep her amazing figure. And it looks like all her hard work is paying off. Looking at the actress, one can never guess that she’s actually just turned 50 this year.
She further elaborated on how she follows the 16:8 variation of the fasting technique. This means that she doesn’t eat solid food in the mornings as she fasts for 16 hours straight every day.
Her eating window is then reduced to only eight hours. The diet, which has been proven to aid in weight loss, doesn’t really require people to eat or fast at certain times, so it can be adapted depending on one’s schedule. A plus, given Aniston’s busy and unpredictable work schedule.
Going more into specifics, the ‘Just Go With It’ actress mentioned that she usually wakes up at 9 a.m. and consumes a liquid breakfast of coffee or celery juice. She then hits the gym and works out for one and a half hours.
Reese’s Routine

Meanwhile, the 43-year-old ‘Legally Blonde’ actress wakes up earlier than her co-star. According to Witherspoon, she begins her day at 7:30 a.m. But just like Aniston, she works out regularly as well and says she exercises six days a week.
And their morning breakfast actually looks the same, too as the mother of three revealed that she drinks some coffee and green juice in the morning.
Not surprising since Witherspoon actually admitted that she looks to her co-star when it comes to well-being advice. For her workouts though, her former trainer said that she usually does a mix of strength training and cardio.
Reuniting on a New Show

After appearing as onscreen sisters in Aniston’s hit sitcom ‘Friends’ years ago, the real-life buddies are reuniting to star in ‘The Morning Show‘ set to premiere this coming November. In the web series, the two actresses play workplace rivals vying for the anchor position in the titular morning news program.
Joining them are other well-known names in the entertainment industry like ‘The Office’ actor Steve Carrell, Tony Award nominee Billy Crudup, and director-actor Mark Duplass.
