Childbirth is universally accepted as one of the most painful ordeals that a woman has to go through in her entire life, and Jessica Simpson has recently gone through one so she is in a great position to talk about it.
The singer, who is now a lifestyle entrepreneur as well, welcomed her daughter named Birdie Mae into this world on the 19th of March.
It’s All about the Attitude
Over the course of her pregnancy, Simpson has remained vocal about the many challenges that she has had to cope with, including the severe acid reflux that she experienced at one point and the problems with sciatica that she has had to face. Apart from these, Simpson also reportedly suffered from foot swelling of an extreme form, and bronchitis multiple times.
Anyone who goes through such a debilitating health crisis over a short span of nine months would find themselves consumed with depression, but not Simpson. For her, it’s very important to remain positive especially after delivery as a positive mindset helps in speeding up recovery.
And since she had a C-section to deliver Birdie, recovering from it is obviously a top priority for her as it usually takes a while before C-section cuts are completely healed.
A Heavy Baby
Simpson certainly gives a very healthy environment in her womb for her babies, judging by the mere weights they have right after they are born. According to reports, her elder daughter, named Maxwell Drew, was born with a weight of 9 pounds and 13 ounces, which is already a very impressive enough figure to beat. Maxi really wanted to remain the heaviest baby at birth in the family, and we bet she was low-key hoping that Birdie would weigh a little less.
However, and rather shockingly, Birdie came into this world weighing a staggering 10 pounds and 13 ounces, making her the heaviest baby at birth in the family and beating Maxi’s record by one whole pound. But, rest assured, this is not going to create any rifts among the siblings as reportedly both Maxi and her younger brother, the 5 and a half-year-old Ace Knute, love their baby sister very much.
Loving Being a Mom
As far as we know, Simpson finds joy in being a mother to her children. Even while she was pregnant with Birdie, she did not cease participating in activities with her older children, volunteering at their school and making their overall life experiences more fun.
Now, with Birdie in her arms, Simpson is clearly over the moon and enjoying every second of her newborn. She had already announced her then unborn daughter’s name back in January by throwing what she called a Birdie’s Nest, which was basically a baby shower.
Just a day after her birth, Simpson took to Instagram and shared a picture of the little one in black-and-white, sharing the news of Birdie Mae’s arrival to the world. There is no doubt that, no matter how difficult her pregnancy may have been, Simpson is maintaining a very positive attitude for herself, which is helping both herself and her family maintain a great bond with each other.
