It’s been barely a month since “The Big Bang Theory” wrapped up and in the span of 12 seasons that ran for more than a decade, we have learned and seen so much of the characters. The show has practically gained fans not just among brainiacs, but also those seeking to have a good laugh.
Apart from geniuses Leonard (Johnny Galecki), Sheldon (Jim Parsons), and Amy (Mayim Bialik), we had come to love the quirky and hilarious stunner Penny, who was played by Kaley Cuoco.
It is safe to say that the Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady-created show wouldn’t be complete without Penny, the aspiring actress neighbor of the very “cool” gang, who caught the eyes of geek Leonard — who wouldn’t be captured by her beauty?
Since 2007, her story had evolved and blossomed, enduring hardships and tough times. In real life, the same can be said of Kaley, who had gone through a lot of things, too, but impressively, she has never walked out of the door not looking her best.
Finding the Perfect Match
Kaley has long been outspoken about her love for horseback riding – in fact, the equestrian suffered a broken leg in 2010, but despite this, she never turned away from the hobby, which she said was for her mental health. For physical health, the 33-year-old turned to multiple exercises to find the perfect match, but the road wasn’t a walk in the park.
In searching for the right fitness style, Kaley attended classes like spinning and Pilates, but these didn’t seem to be it. Fortunately, she found her love for hot yoga – a more intense version of the traditional one because it is done in a heated room. She credited her toned body and muscles to this, although when she gets bored, she makes sure to change things up a bit by doing SoulCycle.
Diet
Workouts would be useless if you don’t eat healthily. As for Kaley, she scrapped meat on her diet, but eats fish. In one interview, she revealed what she has in a typical day: peanut butter on toast for breakfast, half a sandwich for lunch, and fish and veggies for dinner.
As far as snacks go, she’ll munch up an apple and peanut butter or perhaps Golden Double Stuff Oreos, which she previously said she loved.
Other People’s Influence
Have you ever experienced going on a strict diet but you’re suddenly pulled back by your envy when your housemate gobbles up anything she could find in the fridge? Kaley sure did – in her last marriage, her former husband tennis player Ryan Sweeting had a great influence on the eating habits of the actress.
She said that during the earlier days after tying the knot, they would have bedtime snacks, as in their bedside drawers were filled with candies.
However, upon realizing that this was not healthy at all, they had to change their lifestyle. To do this, they had to completely overhaul the content of their pantry and refrigerator. Those that they removed were soda, cereal, and chips, among many others.
