If you happen to scan Netflix and watch the recently added “Murder Mystery,” then you likely wondered to yourself how unfailing and unfading the comedic prowess and charisma of Jennifer Aniston is.
It’s been 15 years since “Friends” ended but we can all agree that the actress, who played Rachel Green, didn’t seem to look her age. At 50, it is no doubt that she maintains one of the most toned celebrity bodies you’ll ever see, making anyone turn green in envy.
If there is such thing, then Jennifer must have mastered the art of reverse aging, but while she was blessed with a gorgeous physique, one of her secrets is her trainer Leyon Azubuike, who is an owner of Gloveworx and is a popular coach among celebrities.
The actress has nothing but good words about him, even referring to him as the “gentle giant.” He is one of the keys to achieving a fit body like that of the icon. Here are his tips:
Fueling Your Body
The trainer admitted he gets asked about this matter all the time, but Leyon revealed that you shouldn’t just think of it as something to fuel your body before a workout — it’s more about treating your body right all the time.
In terms of food, he advises Jennifer to consume healthy fats, such as avocado and salmon, while for protein and carbs, he said it would vary on their lifestyle — for example, if he were about to run, he’d munch on half a banana, a scoop of peanut butter, and bread.
Trial and Error
However, Leyon pointed out that there really is no one diet or exercise routine that could fit all. Just like how you will see which skincare products will suit your face, you also need to do a trial-and-error method to find out the perfect food you can eat to fuel your body in your fitness journey. The best way to do this is to keep track through the use of a food journal.
Like a diary, you can use a food journal to list down the things you eat and how each of these makes you feel while working out. Leyon also advises observing days when you weren’t mentally checked in and jot them down. Did you get enough sleep? Did the rainy weather affect your workout routine?
Stay Hydrated
The coach’s repeated suggestion is to keep hydrating. The timing is key, as most people would only drink water when they are parched and fill themselves up until they are full, while others drink plenty of water before a workout, which might make them feel heavy. So, Leyon’s recommendation is to start drinking water constantly as you make your way your planned sweat session.
