It seems like there is nothing that Julianne Hough cannot do. She is not only a singer but also a dancer as well as an actress. When it comes to working hard, Hough does not believe in taking much time off and prefers to invest all her time and energy in getting the job done.
However, in the recent past, Hough has been following a new mantra altogether: she is no longer working towards building a better future for herself. Rather, she is committed to enjoying her time in the present.
According to Hough, she is now acknowledging as well as honoring all the feelings which are being thrown her way in the now, facing them head-on rather than ignoring them and postponing them for a future time.
However, it has not been an easy thing to do for Hough as, according to her, she has found it rather challenging to not focus on the past or the future especially in the current year.
A Driven Person
As there is already a lot of energy inside of Hough which drives her to excel every day, she does not want to focus that energy on suppressing her emotions simply because she finds them uncomfortable.
This year, Hough has realigned her priorities and acknowledged that although she is a very strong person capable of working hard and defeating any challenge which may come her way, throwing her issues under the rug was unhealthy and hence whenever she was feeling emotional, she would now reflect upon her feelings and accept them as a naturally occurring part of her existence.
Many people don’t know this, but Hough is also battling a condition called endometriosis for more than 10 years now. She had initially received a diagnosis for her condition back in the year 2008, and ever since has highlighted on numerous occasions that there exists a serious lack of attention pertaining to research as well as awareness about this condition.
Usually, those who suffer from endometriosis experience pain in their pelvic region, and this condition mostly inflicts 10% of all women who are in the age bracket that is able to reproduce.
Speaking Up
Considering the widespread existence of this condition and the fact that not much awareness currently exists about it, Hough has naturally made it a mission of hers to encourage women who are suffering from endometriosis to speak openly about it.
Having as much information as possible about this condition, according to her, would empower all women who suffer from it to seek an early diagnosis and thereby get appropriate treatment instead of simply bearing with the pain without doing anything about it.
Hough is lucky to have a very supportive husband, Brooks Laich, who understands her pain and offers her comfort whenever she needs it According to her, having a strong support system is essential to dealing with a condition like endometriosis, because it not only allows you to talk openly about your condition with your loved ones but also make you feel accepted.
