Going under the knife is a personal choice and, needless to say, no one has the right to judge your decisions. Your body, your rules, the saying goes.
However, along with that kind of mindset, you should also consult with your doctors and make sure to follow their advice so as to make sure the desired results will show and that no complications will occur. That’s exactly what Cardi B recently did when she canceled a series of performances, citing health issues arising from the operations.
Canceling Shows
The “Bodak Yellow” rapper has postponed an El Paso, Texas show as well as her performance in 92Q Spring Bling Festival in Maryland following her doctors’ advice to take some rest.
According to a source, all the star’s gig for May will be canceled, which sounds serious. Apparently, Cardi was so eager to go back to work after her plastic surgery just to please her fans that the traveling and appearances affected her body.
The entertainer’s rep said the artist was disappointed to have to cancel her shows and leave her fans hanging but rest assured that they will again see her perform come September.
During her performance at the Beale Street Music Festival, Cardi admitted that she wasn’t supposed to attend the event because it would directly affect her recently-done liposuction but she still went through with it.
Coming Out with the Truth
That was the first time the mom of Kulture admitted that she underwent plastic surgery because she initially denied the rumors.
Later on, Cardi revealed that she brought out the truth because she didn’t like lying. The 26-year-old also explained the truths about the procedure, explaining that it takes time to achieve the results of liposuction and that it would take around three to four months for it to show.
Cardi has been nothing but extremely honest and raw, even explaining that her abs were real and not a result of ab sketching as other people would say. But the first time she expressed interest in plastic surgery was in August last year, just a month after giving birth to her and Offset’s bundle of joy.
The “Please Me” hitmaker shared that she was used to having a tight stomach and that she believed she still has love handles, and to resolve this, she might get liposuction.
Other Celebs Who Had Plastic Surgery
Meanwhile, Cardi certainly isn’t the first one to come out of the hiding about going under the knife.
Sports Swimsuit Illustrated model Chrissy Teigen, one who is known for being candid and honest, once spoke about how she had lipo on her armpits and although she sees that move as the “stupidest,” she explained that she didn’t regret it.
Diana Agron, who may be best known for her role in the now-defunct “Glee,” also had her nose done but not out of curiosity, but because she had to after breaking it twice.
