“When it rains, it pours,” the famous saying goes. It’s a baseless maxim, but may be true for some people whether by coincidence or not.
Britney Spears is one who may find this apt in her current situation right now – what with all the things she has on her plate right now, she sure is dealing with a lot of stressful things and is certainly driving through a bumpy road.
Series of Unfortunate Events
In January, the pop star had to cancel her Las Vegas residency to focus on her father’s recovery after the patriarch had a colon rupture last fall. Because the life-threatening battle was too much for Britney, she had to enter a wellness facility in April and after rumors that she was forced to go, the #FreeBritney movement started.
While there, she assured her fans through a video that she was OK and advised them not to believe everything they read and see online. The “Toxic” singer also revealed that her family had been receiving death threats at the time, which all the more made it harder for her.
No Control over Emotions
Now, the singer 37-year-old is at the center of a conservatorship drama that’s nothing but zoomed in by the media. Amid all these, a source said the star has debilitating emotional issues that need the proper medication – the news came as reports claim that her current medications are no longer effective to Britney.
The insider further added that she has lost control of her emotions and experiences a set of different emotions every day. As one tipster described Britney, at times she is down and sluggish, while on other days, she is like a “zombie.”
It’s a bit confusing for most of us who are tuning in on this whole mess because before the sources’ accounts, Britney took to social media to show her dance moves to Michael and Janet Jackson’s hit “Scream,” as if it was to prove that everything was fine. However, supporters were quick to predict that the video was taken on March 15, judging by her outfit and accessories that were all the same with the clip she posted on that day.
Conservatorship Hullabaloo
Meanwhile, after Britney checked out of the wellness facility in April, her mother Lynne started a legal move in order to be informed of everything about the star’s conservatorship.
Her daughter’s conservator was the Spears patriarch Jaime since 2008. No thanks to a much-publicized meltdown, the Princess of Pop cannot make her own major financial or personal decisions until she gets a go-signal from her dad.
It used to be Jaime and lawyer Andrew Wallett who make decisions for the betterment of the star, but the attorney resigned in March this year so the father is the only conservator.
