Raise your hand if you just can’t seem to get rid of love handles – the excess fat that’s found on both sides of your waist that creates a muffin top whenever you put jeans on.
Brooke Shields, the timeless beauty whose film credits include “The Blue Lagoon” and “Pretty Baby,” admits that she had a hard time dealing with the annoying area, despite working out so much – the 53-year-old acknowledged that it can get tricky to deal with problem spots as you get older. So, she resorted to a laser treatment that she said worked wonders for her.
Healthy Lifestyle
The actress and model is not shying away from the reality of aging, saying it will eventually happen. We can all agree that Brooke definitely not looks her age, which may probably be because of her dedication to fitness.
She divulged that she adheres to a strict workout routine and has a healthy balanced diet, things that make her feel her best. Add to that other habits like getting sufficient shut-eye and drinking enough water and less alcohol, all these contribute to what she comfortably does.
However, Brooke explained that despite her healthy lifestyle, it gets harder as she gets old. Take for example some areas that no matter how much she sweats or loses weight, she just can’t seem to remove, which had caused her to be frustrated and insecure.
That’s why she opted to get a laser treatment called SculpSure that destroys fat cells beneath the skin by processing these so the lymphatic system could eliminate them.
Hesitant to Go Under the Knife
The brand claims clients can already see results as early as six weeks, but the best results may be observed at 12 weeks. Brooke said she has already seen a noticeable difference in her love handles despite just two treatments.
But although she has chosen the laser procedure, which means it’s non-invasive, to finally reduce the areas, she still is reluctant about going under the knife. The “Endless Love” actress clarified that she was not against it because she saw how it really helped a person but at the same time, she was a witness to how awful the recovery was.
Brooke narrated her mom who got a facelift, who, by the age of 70, just looked like she was 50. This also meant that she had a glimpse of the recovery phase. That’s not all, she definitely knows the disadvantages of undergoing an invasive procedure, saying it could alter your mind into thinking that you just think of other parts to enhance or change.
Contentment
With all the technology available in the market that can instantly change a person’s appearance in a series of treatments, Brooke said she has no plans to look younger because she is at a point in her life where she is contented and more relaxed in her skin, life, and happiness.
In fact, she’s not going to change her face, albeit older, because it is still her face, she reiterated.
