The changes that a woman’s body goes through during and after pregnancy are life-changing to say the very least, but for models, losing that belly fat after delivering their child is an added pressure.
However, not all women experience the same kind of body alterations with a pregnancy, and while some may report having trouble losing weight, others have trouble stopping their weight from falling below the healthy limit.
That is exactly the problem that model Brooklyn Decker revealed while giving an interview to US Weekly. In the interview, Decker stated that having children caused her to lose even more weight than she carried before having them.
The 31-year-old star of the film Battleship has seemingly become quite dissatisfied with her extremely thin figure, as she was reminiscing the time when her body looked much fuller and had a curvy appearance.
How Did She Lose so Much Weight?
Decker did not follow a diet plan or enroll in an intense exercise program. Her weight loss came naturally by performing the duties she had as a mother, such as breastfeeding her children for as long as needed and taking care of them at any time of the day regardless of how sleepy or exhausted she felt.
Having done all of this for her children caused Decker to lose a lot of mass on her body, becoming so thin that, according to her, the shape of her body changed completely from what it used to be before she had children.
She may not be as happy with the way her body looks right now, but Decker certainly has no regrets about anything.
According to her, the only thing that matters to any mother is the health of her children, and as long as they are happy and healthy, it shouldn’t matter whether one has become bigger or smaller.
Supported By Her Loving Husband
This means a lot coming from a person who used to model for the Sports Illustrated magazine wearing only a swimsuit and shows her dedication to the wellbeing of her children.
Of course, she is not alone in the process, as her husband Andy Roddick, whom you may remember from his tennis days, has been playing his part as a caring father ever since the birth of their little girl.
Both Decker and Roddick got married sometime in 2009, and after a delay of six years decided to develop a family of their own. Their first born was Hank, a son born in the year 2015, while Stevie, their first daughter, came into this world back in 2017.
A Difficult Job
Taking care of children is definitely a task, especially if you have more than one. Decker is of the opinion that, while taking care of one child can be easier considering the parents have the ability to completely focus on his or her needs, having more than one means that all the care and attention needs to be divided according to the needs of each individual child.
